Nanindigan ang prosecution team na handa itong ipresenta ang kanilang ebidensya anuman ang maging desisyon ng impeachment court sa usapin ng voting threshold.

Sa oral arguments sa ika-29 na araw ng impeachment trial kay Vice President Sara Duterte, sinabi ng prosecution na nananatili silang kumpiyansa sa kanilang kaso at ebidensya at iginagalang ang independent judgment ng mga senator-judge.
Ayon sa prosecution, anuman ang maging threshold na itatakda ng impeachment court, gagampanan nila ang kanilang tungkulin na ilahad ang ebidensya at patunayan ang mga batayan ng impeachment para sa katarungan at pananagutan.
“Let me state at the outset where the prosecution stands. The prosecution is confident in its case, we believe in our evidence, and we trust the independent judgment of this honorable court. And whatever the threshold is, however this court decides the issue before it today, the prosecution will do its job.“
Binigyang-diin din ng prosecution na tungkulin naman ng impeachment court na suriin ang mga ebidensya, timbangin ang mga argumento at magpasya batay sa Konstitusyon at umiiral na batas.
“The obligation of the prosecution is clear, to lay down the evidence and prove the grounds for justice and accountability. The duty of this court is also clear, to examine the evidence, weigh the arguments, and judge according to the Constitution and our law. Those responsibilities we respectfully submit belong together.”
Kung itatakda ng korte na 16 boto ang kinakailangang threshold, sinabi ng prosecution na ilalahad nila ang kanilang ebidensya alinsunod dito.
